‘Canario (Allegro ma non troppo) ‘
Do concerto para guitarra e orquestra ‘Fantasía para un gentilhombre’, composto em 1954 por Joaquín Rodrigo [22 Novembro 1901- 6 Julho 1999], fica a versão do quarto movimento – Canario -, gravada em 1978 pela banda de rock progressivo Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
Fragile (Yes album) turns 50
Gravado em Londres entre Agosto e Setembro e lançado em 26 de Novembro de 1971 pela Atlantic Records, Fragile – o quarto álbum de estúdio dos YES, foi o primeiro a contar com a participação do teclista Rick Wakeman.
Ficam o primeiro tema do lado A, Roundabout (escrito por Jon Anderson e Steve Howe) e o último tema do lado B, Heart of the Sunrise (escrito por Bill Bruford, Chris Squire e Jon Anderson).
Yes – Live at Montreux
O tema Awaken, originalmente gravado em 1977 para o álbum Going for the One, aqui interpretado ao vivo em 14 Julho 2003 em Montreux.

‘Flags’, de Moraz & Bruford
Patrick Moraz, que neste dia 24 de Junho completa 72 anos, integrou os YES para substituir Rick Wakeman em 1974, ano em que editaram Relayer; Bill Bruford havia saído da banda em 1972 para se juntar aos King Crimson.
Durante a primeira metade da década de 80, o teclista suíço e o baterista inglês formaram a dupla Moraz & Bruford para gravar dois álbuns em estúdio, Music for Piano and Drum em 1983 e Flags em 1985, ambos com evidentes elementos de jazz.

‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’, by Rick Wakeman
[Narrator]:
The story begins on the 24th of May 1863 in Hamburg, when Professor Lidenbrock and his nephew Axel discover an old parchment in a 12th century book called ‘Heims Kringla’. A chronicle of the Norwegian princes who ruled over Iceland this parchment, when decoded into Latin and translated by Axel proved to be written by an alchemist of the 16th century and read as follows:
“Descend into the crater of Sneffels Yokul, over which the shadow of Scataris falls before the calends of July bold traveller, and you will reach the centre of the Earth I have done this. – Árni Signússon”
Sneffels is a five-thousand foot-high mountain in Iceland an extinct volcano, its last eruption having been in 1229…
And so the journey from Hamburg to Iceland begins.

Com apresentação programada para 4 Abril 2020 no National Space Centre em Leicester (entretanto cancelada por razões óbvias), o álbum Rick Wakeman & The English Rock Ensemble – The Red Planet é anunciado como uma experiência instrumental keyboard-heavy. Acompanhado por Lee Pomeroy (baixo), Dave Colquhoun (guitarra) e Ash Soan (bateria), esta viagem a Marte representa para Wakeman o regresso às origens, inspirada em The Six Wives of Henry VIII de 1973.
